would be a valuable addition, particularly if you're a
serious Amateur ;o)
It may be the only other English language radio
publication, which would make a difference for many.

For the most part, I've seen a couple mixers boards

Barry,
I wonder about this and the Orions that seem to be on
the second hand market so close to the initial

Certainly any new product has the potential for having

Hi Geoff,
It seems strange to me that it lingers more on the
fringes than moving into the mainstream. If it's been
around for 15 or more years, one would think something
could have been negotiated regarding any intellectual

It certainly sounds interesting based on what I've

Hi Gian,
The H-Mode Mixer (3 transformers) using both SD5000
and FST3125, referred to the TRIAD (W7AAZ, W4ZCB and
G3SBI) is reported in the ARRL Book EMRF Design.
Perhaps I missed these, been reading more about
antennas than Rx design, particularly if it was SDR.
Mea Culpa here...
Will it be possible to sync the internal clock with
WWV (or another time standard) using the on the air
pulses?
Or, if you can interface with the internet, would you
be able to sync that way?
Ya know kinda like one of them thar Atomic clocks?
Cheers,

Hi Greg,
I assume that the SO-239s in the K3 are screwed in
place (ala the KPA100), not riveted...
If this is the case, it really shouldn't be too
difficult for many Elecraft builders to just install
the N connector if so desired, should it? ;o)
Wish I could be at Dayton this year!
Thanks for
Hi Ken,
I concur the brain is a wonderful filter, and it
generally is my preferred tool.
The example you give a wide open filter is a good
idea, once you learn how to process that info
mentally.
In contest situations, if I'm running, I generally
like to keep my filters relatively broad. Folks
It is with deepest sorrow that I notify you of the

I have mine in a Pelican case David, but as some point
out, it may be a bit overkill. The price was right for
the one I found, so figured why not ;o)
If anyone is interested, I do have another nice hard
case (not Pelican) that would work with a K2 and some
additional items. I can send pictures.
