Terry,
Thank you for the excellent write up. I enjoyed every line of it and hope to
have access to such a reading more often in the future.
Very educational and concise.

If I am not mistaken, there is also PTT signal in the ACC socket pin 4.

Nice pictures.
What are your impressions of Palm keyer for KX3?

My friend, R9DX is in Madeira now. He has K3 and Buddipole antenna with him
and planned to operate in CQWW SSB this coming weekend. He has put up
buddipole and tuned it with AA-530 antenna analyzer to 1: 1 SWR. It all
worked well with 100w output on that band. Then he desided to try 28 MHz
I thought this might be interesting for the group. It shows what can be done
by a good operator with K3 and Buddipole antenna only 3.5 meters high, from
the right location.

Vadim, R9DX has won a place in WRTC
Jim,
I always thought of Beverage as directional antenna that favors low angles.
Is it not so?
Regarding diversity, I always use two antennas (usually beaming West and
East) practically on all the bands. This helps not only to fight multy path
propagation but allows listening to weak signals
Dave,
Can you point to a good regulator and/or chjarger suitable for HF radio
use?

Yes, very good.
