Hi Helmut,
The list has been updated for 9 times and will still be updated timely.
There are totally 29 products require China Energy Label now.
I have the list but it's in Chinese.
So maybe you can let me know your product and I can check whether it
requires CEL.

Group,
I'm in a debate with a lab and a manufacturer that insist that a RTTE
device doesn't need to be re-evaluated against a new revision standard when
the previous is withdrawn.
ETSI EN 300 228 V1.7.1 loses the presumption of conformity in 2014 (December

Carl,
The lab is incorrect. Any product on the market in the EU must meet the
current version of standards. If the new one has already been listed, use it.
That way you don't have to re-test when the DoW rolls around. You are on the
right track.

You are correct Carl. The device always needs to be 'assessed' to the
latest 'requirements'.
...and the easiest way to do this, is to 'test' to the latest 'standard'.
If they are following the harmonised standard route, then they will need to

You're correct, and there's no such thing as certification for the EU.
The relevant part of the Directive are:

Conformity assessment procedures

Article 5(1), radio equipment not within the scope of
Hello Brian - It turns out that chambers used for emissions testing are not

Thanks all. I know that this is compliance 101, but I needed to do a sanity
check in case there's a clause in the RTTED that I'm missing. I've
reviewed it and don't see any such thing (article 5).
John- you're absolutely correct. I used DoW because I can never remember

Power plugs for Australian/New Zealand cord-connected equipment must comply
with AS/NZS 3112.
QUESTION: does the approval number (e.g., V100063) need to be molded onto or
otherwise marked on the plug? This is not required by clause 2.12.1 in my old,

The BIS view at the last Machinery Directive Notified Bodies meeting I went to

Directive for at least five years.

Hi Helmut,
Yes, printer is in the category.
It applies to printers powered by 220V 50Hz power grid, print speed less than
70 pages/min and standard size.

Hi Mike,
The ‘approval number’ (e.g. V100063) is a regulatory approval number so the
electrical safety regulations specify where and how that must be placed on the
device not eth standard called up by the regulations. Although AS/NZS 3112 is
called up by the regulations it is a voluntary
