[Emc-users] Need some advice on where to buy shim stock in custom widths

2016-07-13 Thread Gene Heskett
Greetings all; I finally got the compound apart, and found that with the cobble job that made the gib, with the end broken off and looking as if it was ground flat ended with a bench grinder and some new screws installed along with some handmade pusher washers that have a finger that projects

[Emc-users] LinuxCNC 2.7.5 is out

2016-07-13 Thread Sebastian Kuzminsky
LinuxCNC 2.7.5 has been released. This release includes a fairly large change to the controller, intended to make Abort (eg, hitting Escape while running a program in Axis) work more correctly. This change also affects controller startup, including the processing of [RS274NGC]STARTUP_GCODE.

I get rid of the curled/rough edge by a bit of grinding/filing and also I roll it with a ball bearing on a bit of ground flat steel with a finger through the bearing pressing down. Sharp scissors or best tins nips Dave Caroline

Hello Jon. Well, the encoders that are already installed on one of our machines are labelled with the Index pulse. The thing is I can't read the pulse with halscope for example. I just tried to use the home using only index pulse and apparently the index pulse is working because the axis latches

2016-07-13 Thread Greg Bentzinger
Hi all; I have been pulling my hair out trying to find a simple 802.11# unit. What I need is a small module that takes RJ45 input and makes it a wireless connection. Much like a USB wireless dongal. Think of it as an inline wireless adaptor, a single IP pass through not a full router bridge.

Hello to all. We just tested some Heindenhain encoders and as happened with other encoders we can't sense the index pulse. We tried to detect it with a 20 nano seconds period on a digital scope but nothing happens. All the other pulses are working perfect except the index one. I have to mention

Looking at a small 3-axis CNC unit from 1995. All gold/orange anodized aluminum bridge style frame with the spindle moving in X and Z on it while the table on the bed moves in Y. The label says it's a Kaba-Keycut, date is from 1995. Has a funky lever action vise with special jaws and a V
