I had issues in how the 5i25 and7i77 handled bad bits and there were some
changes at about 2.7.4 that should have fixed that. I encountered a
similar error from 2.6 to 2.7.0. Could be mistaken here, but sounds
similar.

Did you try 1000? I think that a value of 1/base thread rate is
mathematically correct.

Anyone have any ideas how to help this guy?
He is trying to set up a software stepgen to control a spindle that was once
controlled by a Mach3 config.
It is sort of working, but the stepgen in Linuxcnc is not creating a steady
pulse stream. It is sending out clumps of pulses at a steady

A month ago one machine with LinuxCNC and Mesa cards: one 5i25 and one
7i77 started bringing errors(1) each time program was started. Then I
re-flashed 7i77 using ./update_7i77 script from mesanet page. It fixed
the problem.. till today. Today I got similar errors(2). And again,

No problem ... but not shure that ubuntu 10.04 can receive the new master
and these machine for shure I can't upgrade to ubuntu16 or debian 8 No one
has ever even confirmed the possibility that installing a new JA14 linuxcnc on
ubuntu 10.04 can run smoothly.
If you can confirm that:
