What are your error messages? They will help you fix the problme. Go to a console prompt within x windows and type 'netscape' or 'navigator' or even 'communicator'. 'netscape' should try to load Netscape. If it says command not found, you need to install (or reinstall it). Other error

Without either of the modules loaded, look at /proc/interrupts and see which interrupts are being used. Then load each module individually and see what interrupt they use. I would also check out dma usage, too, with /proc/dma since that sometimes has the same effects as a bad IRQ. It's not
