D'oh! I just *read* TFP and noticed that they don't accept domestic

to believe that they did. Plus, that part of the page appears to be a
graphic, so one cannot cutNpaste those words... annoying, and

Actually, they don't DO domestic donations. That is, they accept
donations (from G3's to tachyon-based equipment to wireless
abacuses) from domestic sources but donate to folks in other countries.

I still haven't received a response to yesterday's post saying
that I'd like to have the monitor.
Sorry Ken, I thought I'd responded. Kent Loobey claimed it a few hours
before you.

MacRenewal is cool, but they're for Macs only. I'd wager there are 10
times as much non-Mac equipment that could use a good tax-deductible
home. Plus, based on the website, MacRenewal appears to be sending the
equipment to other communities. I am thinking more locally.

They're considered a hazardous waste. There is significant
expense in disposing of them safely.

Free for someone who is willing to pick it up:
1 HP 55 15inch SVGA monitor, I believe it's 70Mhz @ 1024x768. Works
fine no burn or screen scratches, it's just taking up desk space. It
does have some black ink splatters on the top, near the back. Nothing
that you would notice while using it

Dont hold the monitor for me, I have no idea when I'll be in driving distance!

Tooo much! More than buying one off eBay, certainly. I got a quote
of $65-70 to send it from here to a friend in Minnesota, and decided to
just bag that idea. PLUS the boxing and packing, ugh. The going rate
(incl shipping handling) on eBay is $50.

Max could always drop it off at my office and Jamie could pick it up from there next

I should tell my slightly amusing story on this - I tried to donate it
to the Goodwill on Coburg Rd, and they don't accept (and will soon stop
selling) computer parts anymore. I called EFN, and they did not want
it, but suggested St Vinny's on Seneca. Tried there, but they wanted me

Yikes. SCOPE!! I should say, I would be happy to drop it off with Bob,
as he suggested.

I'm sharing an office with Muhleim, Boyd and Carroll at 88 E. Broadway. Just tell
the nice lady that it's for me and I'll store it away for Jamie.
