From Beth's previous post on this car, we know that the car won't power up.
The dealer says the battery has at least one failed cell. We don't know how
accurate that evaluation is.
I have a Leaf, and must say I don't particularly trust my dealership's
advice,
Just from a parts value it's probably worth $2000-$3000, but you'd have
to find the right buyer. I parted out the salvage EV (with damage to
front & back ends) I bought to harvest my battery pack out of, and got
around that much overall, after 8 months of labor selling parts on ebay

What is the warranty situation?
I am in California and the mandatory drivetrain warranty requires the mfg
to fix the car if it does not drive before warranty runs out, i believe

It would probably cost $2,500 to get a surplus leaf battery, plus labor
to swap the modules over, so even a DIY mec
I've been shocked (no pun intended) at the low prices used Leaves bring.
Beth, I'm not qualified to appraise your car, and I can't even guess what
you might get for it. However, a look at some Leaves sold recently on Ebay
shows 6 examples from 2011 to 2013 that went for between $3000 and $3700
Hello -- I'd like to give everyone an update and restate my initial post
with further detail.
First, thanks to all who responded earlier!
To summarize: on June 1, my previously reliable 2012 Leaf (~60,000 odometer
miles) failed to start or charge. The car was towed to a Nissan dealer
where it un
