Some folders are IMAP folders some are mail post folders - how can I change?

Guys, I have a server runing W2K SP3 + Exchange 2000 SP3. The exchange server is running imap for remote mail, the issue I'm having is that in outlook (any version) some mail folders have different viewing settings to others, in properties under general, some of the folders show as IMAP
