No, it isn't. Read the FAQ's. Specifically, read the Ed Crowley Never
Restore method. It is good advice for anyone and a sound practice as well.
Combining Deleted Items Retention with hiding mailboxes for a set period of
time will all but nullify the need to ever restore a mailbox. I have

It sounds like you're doing a gasp brick backup? (each mailbox
individually?)
If so, you should check the archives (look down) for a lot of reasons why
you don't want to do it that way.
If not...are you using BackupExec's Exchange agent to perform on-line
backups?

it sounds like you are backing up individual mailboxes, this is not a good
idea, see the archives for why, is it also true that if you select the brick
backup then you are unable to make incremental backups..

you are obviously doing a brick level backup, i think this also means you
are unable to do an incremental.

If you are doing an Exchange aware backup Full usually means a full backup
of the database (DS/IS) only, plus flushing out the transaction logs, etc.
Anything else needs a regular file level backup.

Do a couple of disaster recovery drills, and then you'll know how long it
takes to recover servers in your environment. Hardware, software,
configuration, and operator skills are going to vary from shop to shop, and
so recovery times are going to vary as well.

Have you backed up the server before? The NT backup on the Exchange server
is a little different, and backs up the Exchange Store, known as an
on-line backup. If this sounds new to you, you haven't read the FAQ.
