loads myfile.txt into the cron table; this is the classic way to load

And if crontab -l shows it, it's there.

get ``network not available'' error messages from netscape if I forgot
to reconnect before checking e-mail or visiting a non-local site.

ddns client to update a dyndns dynamic hostname (although
you could modify it to use something else and update a static
one too.) It does two things. 1st it checks to see if the
ip dns has matches the ip your service provider gave you
another way to get an Internet connection
/root ifup ppp0= to make Internet connection
/user = command line to call up Lynx, Netscape or PINE, etc.
/root ifdown ppp0= to close Internet connection

Seems to me that cron wasn't enabled by default. You had to ask for it to be set
up either at install time or in LinuxConf. If at is a part of the same package,
then probably all you need to do is tell cron (crond?) to start at startup.

Yeah, I tried the Xfree86 4.01 from the "cooker" FTP site and it's
working now. I guess what happened was I downloaded the entire package
from Xfree86.org and it didn't jive with the way Mandrake has their font

I just changed my main HD drive and had to play a bit with drakboot to get it to
work again after copying everything on the new disk.
Now everything is fine but grub disappeared and I'm back with lilo ?
Is there any way to use grub again (without reinstalling everything of course ?)

I have a PCChips L741mrt motherboard with an integrated AGP SiS 6326
chipset...didn't have to do a thing to bring it up...however it does run
quite slow on 24-32bpp large screen (1024X768 +) modes. It sucks 8mb of
memory from my total RAM.

in ifconfig? Example: my default ifconfig reports the MTU setting at 1500.
