Officially, a certain percentage is tithed to International, and that is public knowledge. But in addition to that there’s a major bloodletting whenever “excess” funds accumulate. Were this not the case, a lot more could have been done over the years to make the place look nicer, pay faculty properly, attract and keep better faculty, buy equipment, computers and software, pay vendors on time, etc.

Doesn’t it often seem that way? It almost seems intentional and maybe sometimes is. There are so many examples. I think the university might have been thriving by now if this hadn’t been happening all these years. Same with many other projects.

I don't know who the legal owner is. Probably not him personally. I doubt

If 9/11 hadn't happened, do you think the pundits would be here? They never

It's obvious that the thing hasn't generated any profit. Therefore it's
obvious that no one has seen a return on their investments. The investments
were raised with all sorts of inspiring info on how successful and
profitable the project would be. I heard the sales pitch.

I was going to make a sarcastic crack here, but don't,
essentially, all TMO business ventures go wrong? The
only money the TMO made was from "selling" TM, the
TM-sidhi-Program and holding onto real estate out of
inertia and the market just happened to turn their

I also think there's an ethical issue with what's done with the profit.
There have been instances in which local donors' have bought a property, but
all the funds have left the country when it was sold, and local donors have
been told to buy another one.

Yes Judy , I saw that before I posted. My question is how much
did the original investment cost the movement and how much did they have to put
into keeping the property all those years and how much did they sell it for? Did
they actually make a profit? Was it worth it? No doubt when the TMO lets it be
known they have sold property, they want all TB's to believe Laxmi has blessed
the TMO with a great windfall. All I can say is that the property in Houston, a
high rise Days Inn, they bought in the 80's recently sold. I also know it was
costing them a lot of money to hold on to an eyesore that was a burden for TMO
people to have to be responsible for.
