Gloria, so sorry to hear about the loss of
another sweet young baby. Take heart in knowing that at least she knew a short
span of human kindness before she lost her fight.

Anybody know anything about, or ever dealt with
erythrocyte pyruvate kinase (PK) deficiency in a cat? It's recessive gene breed
issue in Somali and Abyssinian cats. Is there a yahoo group that deals with
it?
I'm about to get some Abyssinian rescues in, and

Dearest Gloria,
I'm sorry to hear about Sunshine's passing. It doesn't matter how long
we know them, when these sweet, struggling souls enter our lives we
invest our love and care and pray for miracles. There was of course a
miracle, she found you. She found someone in you that provided her
Hi Jenn,
I'm sorry I haven't a clue about PK deficiency in cats. I'd never heard
of it before your post. Hopefully none of these guys will have the
problem. It's just overwhelming isn't it? Thank you for always being
in the thick of these deplorable situations. I don't know much about
Dear Gloria
I'm so sorry to hear about Sunshine. She had a rough life from
everything you say but you were truly the sunshine in her life at the
end. I'm glad that she found you and that she did know in the end, even
for an all too short time, what it is to be loved and cared for.
Thanks for

Gloria, I'm so sorry about Sunshine. I'm sure she is grateful for the effort and love you put in trying to save her. You are a very special person for giving so much to these special babies. She now has a family at the bridge to look after her until you can be together again. God Bless You.
But are they helping to save lives or are they
protecting the breed from probably inbreed cats...
Nobody will tell me anything even though I am one of the closest and
from what I can tell I was one of the 1st to try to respond to Dr.
Bruce...I don't know if I am reading it right but it sounds
Gloria,
So sorry about Sunshine.
At least for her last week she was given proper care and lots
of love!
Sleep softly, Sunshine.

I don't know anything about any of that, I have
never spoken to the doctor. I have been speaking to Donna, from Bengal rescue,
and Linda, from NOAH rescue in MA. They are both involved with the removal
effort. I have been told that most likely, the cats have bred into each other,

Thanks for the compliment, I really don't do THAT
much. Bones is doing GREAT, she's a happy crazy little girl, just like any
normal kitten. I think she is under a year old, she still has kitten attitude.
She tears around the house, attacks the other cats, bats around all kinds of
toys, and
goodnight, sweet Sunshine...
