You may want to supplement what ever food you chose with chicken, ground beef or tuna. I've been able to get whole chicken at 69 or 79 cents a pound near the end of sell by date and recently picked up a couple of hundred cans of tuna at 39 cents each. When you figure out the per pound

I always use tuna or mackerel for trapping cats or having them eat their meds - great disguise! I think it's OK to use fish once in a while, as long as it's not the only diet, especially for male cats. It's a great idea to add cooked meats to the canned food, but you have to start slowly so that
