I would give him 1/4 or 1/2 Pepcid a half hour before feeding him, then feed him food, and then maybe afterwards give him a little bit of Lactulose.   The other thing you can give for constipation that is milder on the system, and also combats nausea, is Slippery Elm. You can buy it in capsules
