I took Bernie to the vet this morning and did an x-ray. He has a large mass
near his stomach/intestine. We have decided not to do chemo and have put
him on some steroids and pain medication. He is still eating and purring
which is good, but it will only get worse.

I've been watching this for over a year, but this is the first time I'm
contacting you-all.
I rescued Stanley (and two of his dumped buddies) about a year and a half
ago and, unfortunately, he was diagnosed with FeLV. All the cats were
estimated to be about a year old at that

- toxins, histoplasmosis and vitamin deficiency. We could not think of a
toxin exposure. Coco was tested for histoplasmosis. Since the results were
negative, the vets told me this was likely a Vitamin D, Selenium

I'm sorry to hear about Bernie. I lost my first leuk positive to intestinal
lymphoma. It's so hard to get a diagnosis like that for such a young cat but I
hope you find some peace in knowing how special you've made these months for
him. Enjoy whatever time you have left with him.
I am sorry to hear this. My Squeaky (feLV+, 22 years old) lived 3 weeks
after cancer diagnosis. I made the tough decision when he quit eating and
started hiding. Sounds like Bernie still has quality. Glad to hear that.
Ps cats also purr to comfort themselves...I don't necessarily look to that

Hi all. My 1 year old FeLV+ male cat has started to have some hair loss on
his head and neck. I noticed a bit of a bald spot on his neck a few days
ago with a small scratch (he plays rough with his brother). I didn't think
anything of it as I thought maybe he just scratched the hair off. Then
