what is known as Cat Scratch Disease or Cat
Scratch Fever.
A Google search on hemobartonella and another on bartonella will have many
results with lots of info on both. It would appear that Hemobartonella is
much more serious.

Is Tucson FeLV+? I have 2 cats who are
positive and the certificate I got for our dog so we could take her on vacation
(flying and they never asked for it) states that she is free of contagious and
infectious diseases, can't see how you could get one for a FeLV+ or FIV+
cat.
and you can't fly animals without one.

They are good tests and false negatives are very
rare. However, there is still a significant percentage of false
positives. If a cat tests positive, you will definitely want to confirm
that with an IFA test.

If a cat has had the vaccine it will test positive
for FIV. I'm trying to remember if there is a test that can tell the
difference, if there is one, it is not any of the regular tests.

Gary,

'Glenda,
I don't know how much Interferon Omega costs but
the natural interferon I got the pricing on (Multiferon manufactured by Veragin)
works out to $70 for a 3 million unit vial and if my math is correct that should
make 100,000 30 unit doses. That is enough for 274 cats for a year if
broad spectrum antibiotic. It also had a positive effect on lymphocyte
depletion which recombinant interferon does not.
I could attach a copy of if the list allows attachments (176kb pdf file) or
I could send it to you directly if you are interested.

import a 3
month supply for your personal use but I assume this requires you to fill out
paperwork about your condition, etc., and probably a Rx.

Try www.betterlife.com they have
powdered sodium ascorbate (Vc) and lysine, pretty good prices too.

Some people write a 4 in roman numerals as
instead of IV. The notation might then mean a murmur rated at 4 to 5 and
that would be a fairly serious one as 5 is the worst. I have no idea why
anyone would write this in roman numerals, if that is what this

long for them to develop their own antibodies if they really have FIV.
Testing much before 6 months cannot show a true positive. I think it was a
report from Cornell University that said the passing of FIV from mother to
kittens was rare and that FIV is almost always passed by a bit wound.
. They don't develop their own antibodies until they are about 6
months old. FIV is much less contagious than FeLV and the most common
means of transmission is by bite wounds and not by sharing dishes,
etc.

of having been out there, you might
try getting some Bach Flower remedy call "Rescue Remedy" (available at many
health food stores) and put a few drops in her water. Taking it directly is
unpleasant for cats as it is alcohol based.

Unless there is one they claim can be done without a blood draw I would
think it is the same as the vet uses and all you need for that is the snap test
kit and a blood draw. The snap tests aren't by Rx so I believe you can buy
them from a vet supply place. The needles for blood draw might h
ives a few seconds.
So much to learn.
