to bolster what Amani wrote. Felv appears to be a minor risk for adult cats who did not get the disease from the queen at birth. It is a MAJOR risk for kittens born with the disease who still show it at 6 months. I wouldnt worry terribly about adults getting it from a kittenwould definitely

Debbie, When I first brought Chat Noir into our group he appeared perfectly healthy. It wasn't until he suddenly developed swollen lymph glands that he was diagnosed as FeLV positive. I figure that he'd had the virus for a while and then it suddenly just became active and it acted VERY quickly.
