that sounds like a good plan. Hopefully you'll have figured out
what's going on with her now and will
have time to get her back on the DMG to give her immune system a
boost before the trip.
We're thinking of her, keep us posted.

Not really sure. I'm hoping for mid-October, though that's getting
pretty close and I still haven't found a place. We'll see. I'd like to
move in first, then come back to retrieve Ember after things are
settled, so she doesn't have to endure the craziness of moving stuff
in and unpacking.
Lance, we'll keep Ember in our thoughts and prayers. When are you
moving?

Thanks for all of the advice! I'm going to take Ember in on Monday.
I'll report back after I hear what the vet has to say.

Hey Lance, nice to hear from you. The only time I've had that happen
with the pupils being different sizes is with an FIV+ kitty, can't say
what caused it or what it related to.

Bailey had this happen all the time, nothing medical, his pupils
would just be uneven, I have noticed it with Joey (negative) on the rare
occasion also, nothing medical with him either.

you can request a "private" x-ray screening, too--they have separate rooms
with their own little machines, and you have to take the kitty out of the
carrier and let them make sure she's not carrying bombs strapped to her
waist (according to another member of this list, whose identiy i shall

Lance it is great to hear from you. I realized that you were MIA a
while ago and was hoping that Ember was ok.
I've not had experience with the pupil anomaly but MC's advise about
a vet check sounds right since her wbc
was low. She might be fighting an infection.
Also, Laurie's travel advice
she'll need a health certificate within 10 days of travel, too, but we can
get into those details closer to the time!

hi, lance! going back up to the frozen north, huh?
as one who transports FeLVs and FIVs and other special-needs kitties all the
time, the best bet is what you mentioned: be her chaperone, with her as
carryon luggage. that way she's never out of your care; her plane ticket
will be between $100-200
