The ONLY time there is static is when there are 1/6th notes played

oops, i meant 1/16 notes, and that only seems to be when I have brass
(with or without timpani)...once I slow the tempo down considerably,
there is no longer any static

(A) What are your system specs?
(B) Have you tried reducing the master volume in the mixer?
(C) Have you tried reducing the polyphony on the GPO timpani? (That's
actually the most likely culprit.)

I use Finale 2005-B on XP.
I have saved a document's text _expression_ library several times now; and when I attempt to load that library to another document (really the next movement), nothing seems to happen.
Is there some bug going on that I am unaware of? I have checked the manual about how
