I have finally just installed WinFin2007, and tomorrow I have to print
multiple copies of some music.
Whatever happened to the Number of Copies option in the print dialog
box? I tried print setup, which brings me to my standard printer dialog
setup box, and there is not copies option there,
It's in the white box in upper left of the Print Dialog box where you can
check or uncheck what score and parts you want to print. You can change the
number of copies to print there. Double click on the copies number and it
can then be changed.

It sounds as if there's a corrupt font file there. Perhaps trying to

How do I change this to Maestro perc.?
Here is one way I just worked out:
To do this you need to use a staff style -- you'll need to define a new

you wrote asking about printing multiple copies; you don't say, but did
you by any chance get a new printer, or update drivers? I found when I
bought a new printer, that the print dialog box changed, though not
necessarily in the manner you describe.

It looks like you first have to apply a staff style to the notes (or
the measures), changing the notehead font to Maestro Perc.
Then when you go to the MassEdit, Change, Noteheads dialog
you'll still
be shown the Maestro font character set so you'll need to know which
slot in Maestro Percussion holds the notehead you wish to
use.
This HAS to be a bug! However, once the staff style is applied, you can

You should cancel those 2 not responding occurences of Finale and then
perhaps things would work properly?

I checked the behavior in WinFin2006 and it is exactly the same as in
WinFin2007, so if it's a
$150 worth of software (PCDOCPRO, SUITCASE) later, I can tell you the
solution to the problem.
My university restructured the network, including the printer queus. As a
result, it took several days, phonecalls, and visits to my office and our
queued printers to cooperate. One was so far gone it
Automator (Mac) Batch print older files (haven't tried new ones)
causes 2007 to crash when it opens the first one and tries to print.
Is this a known bug?
