Can't you crop the PS in Preview, using the Marquee tool and then the Crop button? And I'm probably missing something crucial here, but why are you bothering with EPS at all? If you're trying to place Finale examples in a Word file, can't you just print to PDF crop what you need, then

Ah. I had forgotten that Word couldn't handle PDFs properly. I use Pages myself. Apple just released Pages '08 (part of iWork '08), so you should be able to activate another 30-day trial. But it's only $80 (for the entire iWork suite) so you might as well just buy it, so you won't have

Bruce, Have you thought that the magical rests actually belong to the PREVIOUS measure? I see that a lot. I think TG Tools handles tremolos of chords by creating a tuplet (say, two half-notes in the space of one) and if you re-enter a value, you might end up with more notes than the
