I'm notating a song in 6/8 time and in one spot it has syncopated
rhythm, and I'm not sure which way is the proper way to notate it!
There are 4 notes in the measure, each getting 1.5 counts - would
this be portrayed with 4 dotted-eighth notes? Or would you do dotted-

The chord before it is an Eb. The chord after it is a Cm. This
chord is kind of a suspended sounding chord that does not resolve.

syllables are not putting just 1 dash like it usually does, but it's
putting 2-3 dashes in between syllables and it looks silly! How can

Hi, Everyone...
Is there some way to extract, for example, the top note in every
chord in a song? Or the middle note or bottom note? I have a song
that is 3-part harmony, all on 1 staff, no layers. Can this be done
simply, or do I have to manually erase the notes I don't want?! What
notes were tied... Seems Finale should be
able to handle something as common as this, but at least that made it
look right!

Hi, Everyone - I read in the manual how to shorten the stems of
beamed notes. However, when I do so, the beams disappear (not even
leaving flags in their place)! I'm using Finale Mac version 2005b.

The recorder begins the song, then the vocals take over, then the recorder
re-enters in the middle of the song...
