with english units until I took thermodynamics.
The prof would pose a question in one system and expect the answer
in the other. That borders on torture. I wish that all engineering
classes used metric only these days. Unfortunately, I'm sure it's not
the case.

Bah humbug. Engineers, seeing that there were two incompatable

of reasons. First, test
machines are built for creating large loads not setting speed records.
Second, the manufacturer wants the wing to last as long as possible and
adding dynamic effects (generally) only makes matters worse.
You should see the tests that jet engines are subjected to.

seems to work well enough.
One of the advantages people give for freeglut is that glut isn't
being updated. Looking at the download page for freeglut, it appears
it hasn't been updated since Jan 2000.
