Speaking of keyboards, I won't part with my Unicomp buckling spring
keyboard. They are the famous, original IBM keyboards that are heavy
duty, have a great tactile feel with a nice audible click, and the
keycaps are double-injected. So the letters can never wear off them.

I use my Wacom tablet for drawing, but it also came with a mouse that
let's you use the tablet as a trackpad. Perhaps they still have models
like that. It was much better than a mouse, but not as nice as a
trackball, in my opinion.

I've been using Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs for years. The
current model is optical. Very smooth, rarely needs cleaning. Comes
with an optional wrist support, which I use, my one complaint about
the product is that that tends to come loose. I have not found smaller
trackballs as easy to use.
Which trackball do people use and like?
I have been thinking of switching, but I need to find something relatively
small since I travel a lot. My laptop pad does not cut it - too much in the
center (the usual compromise for right and left handed people),

Is there a driver available for a Windows laptop (for the Apple Trackpad, that

I move my trackball from one side to the other occasionally to avoid
exacerbating any pain on one side.

Also I trained myself to mouse left-handed. I'm naturally right-handed and a
chiropractor pointed out that my right hand is overworked anyway, even without
mousing. So I'm a leftie mousewise. I know of 4 other people who've done this
because of shoulder pain.

I seem to be trackpad/trackball-challenged but I did suffer from shoulder pain
due to mousing. I use keyboard shortcuts--LOTS of keyboard shortcuts.

Using a mouse makes my shoulder stiff and after a half hour or so I'm
in serious pain. I don't think that gizmo would help. I switched to
trackballs over 20 years ago.

Short of getting some refresher training (there’s lots of people that do that

Even better, get a trackball. You rest your hand in place and only move
your thumb (plus occasionally click with a finger). Plus, you never run
into that PITA issue where your mouse goes off the edge of the mouse
pad, but you need to scroll further, so you have to lift the mouse, pull
it back t
