Hi,
The question is, where did the PDF come from.
For instance, in some PDF files created where I work, the text is actually
exported from a graphics program as a graphic, and therefore it cannot be
easily turned into Word or Frame. In other words, are you sure that the text in

Shlomo,
Thanks! It works fine and is so simple. It has been quite awhile since I
used hypertext commands in FrameMaker so I am very rusty. I was also
having problems linking due to inconsistent usage of pathnames, which I
have since resolved. All links are working now!
Best regards!

Thanks Syed. However, I'm still on Mac, and a great many useful plug-ins are

I am using FM 7.2 (Structured) with Windows XP.
We were given new safety pages to replace the old ones in all of our books.

Does anybody know the limit on the number of characters for a Running H/F

it purely a display problem or is that the effective lenghth of the

Thanks,

It was my understanding that 7.2 had support for DITA, but a search of the 7.2
help file found nothing for DITA.
Do I need to go to 8.0?
Thanks.

Hi all,
I'm laying out a manuscript in Frame 8 that is packed full of detailed
footnotes. This author is fond of them, and one footnote in particular spans
multiple pages. Word can allow footnotes to span pages. So far, it appears
that Frame's footnotes can't span pages.

Hi Paul...
FM7.2 did ship with a DITA application, but it was more of an example,

Adobe offered the DITA App Pack for FM7.2 for some time, but when FM8
