There seems to be a possible bug when opening translated MIF files in FM8.02
(p273, possibly older patches too). In 21 translations we found missing glyphs
in all but 4 translations, ranging from 40 to 2 missing glyphs in each file.

There seems to be a serious bug in FM 8.02 (p273) when opening a MIF
file in FM. In 21 languages we translated into, it affected all but 4.
This bug has been reported to Adobe.

I actually at times found this "feature" to be useful .. rather than
closing and reopening a dialog, I'd just roll it up (drag the bottom up
so all that's left is the titlebar), then roll it back down when needed.

Susan,
I'm assuming that from the book file you have right clicked on each
of the chapter files:
1. In the first chapter file you have set the pagination to delete
empty pages; and,
2. in the second file you have set the first page to "next available".

The resource hacker won't "fix" this issue, it will just let you change
the fixed size of the dialog or placement/size of the widgets in the
dialog. Fundamentally FM dialogs are not resizable .. that is, when you
resize the dialog, the contents don't resize with the frame. This is an
