FrameMaker doesn't support the Adobe PDF transparency model in any way,
shape, or form. The only way you can do wrt/ transparency is to import
content that has already flattened (in my book, we call that ruined
transparency) in either PDF or EPS. Specifically making text in
FrameMaker itself

(through the add file button). Even though the files are sequentially
numbered, Frame adds them in reverse order.
This is a Windows issue rather than a FrameMaker issue, per se. FrameMaker has
always worked this way on Windows platforms, and probably always will because
it uses the Windows file selection dialog, which doesn't pass the files to the
application in the same order in which the user lists
Instead of using Add Files, just drag them from a Windows explorer
window onto the book. This way the order stays the same.

and met all our needs for documenting heavy equipment in 24 languages. It is
well developed and well supported.
