Introduction of project
Dear all,
Especially in the German lists there are discussions about misbehaving
words and the difficulty to get them out of the dictionary or get them
corrected in the dictionary.
Hence I decided to design a utility for [1]handling the dictionary
entries.

Well, since FM9 default location for dictionaries is
C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Linguistics\UserDictionaries.
This is used for FM9, FM10 and FM11, without specifying the FM version.

Good to know, Mike. Thanks.
So far I've only used one version that uses the new location, and since we only
make limited use of user dictionaries in our FrameMaker docs I hadn't noticed
the change. But now I know to watch out if/when I upgrade to a newer version.

Hi,
We noticed that installing FM11 overwrites user dictionaries that were created
in FM9. I'd expect that a new installation of FM would keep existing
dictionaries. Anyone else experienced this?

Problem solved! I eventually found the answer to my own problem. The
dictionary file that imported fine had lines ending with both a carriage
return and a line feed. The file that wouldn't import had lines ending
only in a linefeed. When I turned on hidden characters in Notepad++, it
was clear

Hello
I am missing an updated version of the German dictionaries (spelling,
hyphenation,..)
Where can I find it ?
I expected to find an indicator on the adobe website, however did not.
How do I report Framemaker 7.2 bugs/issues and feature requests ?
Thanks
