Constantine, I believe you can just add an entry to /etc/hosts to specify the hostname for your box. Something like: 192.168.0.2 constantine constantine.domainname.com. Just make sure your sytstem is searching the hosts file before DNS (in /etc/host.conf, hosts is above bind).
