I tried the s3 driver, which is supposed to be the driver that I really need and I get

Greetings, I have several servers running FreeBSD 4.7 and 4.8.
All are also running Lone-Tar for FreeBSD as the backup software.
Today, I updated one of the machines from 4.7 to 4.8, and now for

run Lone-Tar.

pretty weird that it causes the network card to not even be recognized.

Hi,
sorry for a bit helpless question but I couldn't find
the answer in the handbook and in the man psm myself.
I have put device pcm into my kernel config and compiled it.
Since I use FreeBSD 5.1, I haven't run MAKEDEV. Now I have:

You should run a 'make clean' everywhere you left it. You can find it
using sth. like 'find /usr/ports -name work'.
This should solve your problems.
I ran 'make clean' in all the directories that came up after running
'find /usr/ports -name work'. Then I tried running make again in the
