and cpu speed that legacy PC can provide.
remove HD from legacy PC and connect it to faster / newer pc to do

I had this same problem when I re-installed 5.3 replacing 4.10 in
the second partition on the master HD. When I reformatted HD so
FreeBSD was on first partition and ms/win was on second partition,
problem went a way and the default boot manager worked fine after

That's just so stupid it could not have been done with official

I keep getting this error message when I try to run an perl script
from an apache web page that is trying to post an form.
I have mod_perl-1.28 and p5-WWW-Mechanize
Method Not Allowed,
The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL /sim.pl.
Any ideas on how to get this to work?
All ready had sim.pl set as 770 and owner as www and group as wheel

Sounds like you are missing the /usr/ports INDEX file or it's messed
up big time. Try cvsup-ing the posts-base category. The INDEX file
is part of that category. The ports-base category only contains the
things that make the ports application function and will not effect
any of your port config
