Dear users,
I've set up a freebsd 8.2 xen domU under debian squeeze, and have compiled
a kernel with the attached config.
The first compilation error is here, due to -Werror:
# cc -c -O2 -pipe -fno-strict-aliasing -march=prescott -std=c99 -Wall

Dear developers,
I am happy to hear that PV i386 is evolving. I am using releng_8_2 right
now, and would like to know if some of this patches will ever get merged
to that tree.
Thanks in advance,

Dear users,
I forget to mention, If i remove pf and pflog from the config, then the
built kernel boots well under xen.

Dear xen developers,
I have a xen domU with the attached config, and unfortunately it does not
boot. I am compiling it with:
$ make kernel KERNCONF=DB WERROR=
And it only makes a crash dump in the hosts xm dmesg.
It is a recent 8.2 releng src tree.
What should I change to make this work?

No, not the kernel config. See attached example.

Dear Sean
Dear list,
I am looking for a solution to be able to shutdown my freebsd 9.0 amd64
xen hvm domain from outside, from the host. Precisely, when the host is
halted, it issues an
# xm shutdown domain --halt --wait
to the domain, and the domain does not poweroff. It behaves as if I issue
a halt
s it powers itself
off.
But when inside the domain, and I issue poweroff, it works as expected, I
guess it sends an acpi poweroff to xen, and then tha virtual machine gets
stopped.

Dear Colin,
I am not familiar with the
pv, and freebsd hvm
domains do a nice poweroff upon a host reboot/halt.
Many thanks for giving that clue.

Hi
Dear Xen users,
I have a strange problem, my hvm instance sometimes jumps time forward. I made
a little script to monitor this, and I am attaching its result also. I have no
clues where to look, why this jump happens, but of course it is not
normal. And as I have kern.securelevel at 2, ntp can
just an update, as I remember, this happened to 8.2 bsd in paravirtualized
mode also.

but unfortunately it happens. Actually, in the past weekend it did also,

Where should I look further? Any ideas?
