Ah. The users file isn't set up to do comparisons on check items.
So I don't think it will work.

I am trying to create a new checkItem using an attribute stored in LDAP.
I would like radius to check ldap to see if the attribute exists for a
user and if it does, not assign a radiusPoolName. I have a
radiusSNSEnable attribute setup in ldap and in the dictionary files as a
check item.
I
?
Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that should mean, if the SNS-Enable attribute
does not equal 1, assign the USR-Framed_IP_Address_Pool_Name and

it?

are on a seperate server so those logs shouldn't
effect it. The radius.log file is rotated once a month and the ldap logs
are rotated hourly because they get so large so fast, but it's done on the
hour and the timeouts happen anytime.
Thanks for the input.

asking here might help point me in the right direction. System
information below.
OS - freebsd 4.10
freeradius - 1.0.1
openldap - 2.2.19
load on the box is pretty low so that shouldn't be an issue.

I have proxying setup for a realm and when I recieve the reply back from
the radius server, I want to set the Filter-Id attribute. I believe I
have it working properly based on radtest replies but in the logs I see
Error: rlm_attr_filter: Authorize method will be deprecated.
Has this, or will
I was tired of trying to find a quick way to fix this so I ended up
basically formatting the box and reinstalling. Everything works fine now.
Not sure what the problem was but it's now resolved.

I'm not sure how helpful that will be to anyone but it's all the

Let me know if this rings any bells.

We have two seemingly identical freeradius servers, for this email lets
call them radius-1 and radius-2. Both are FreeBSD 4.9 systems running
freeradius 1.0.1 with an Openldap 2.2.18 authentication method. Both
machines run freeradius without a problem. When I send a HUP to reload
the config
