I agree with you . Seems I've not been clear . I just use Software update to download the file only. I can then install when I get around to it or never. It's just like doing a stand alone download with no extra steps of looking around for the file. So no auto anything to your machine from the Sof

Updated from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5 (136 MB) on G4 MDD dual 1 ghz seemingly without a hitch... 2 chimes/restarts and booted up. Then noticed sound from internal speaker and not from USB Sound Sticks and Subwoofer. Sticks don't show up in Sound under System Preferences or in System Profiler. Ran Onyx an
