10.5.5 update = lost USB Sound Sticks?

Updated from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5 (136 MB) on G4 MDD dual 1 ghz seemingly without a hitch... 2 chimes/restarts and booted up. Then noticed sound from internal speaker and not from USB Sound Sticks and Subwoofer. Sticks don't show up in Sound under System Preferences or in System Profiler. Ran Onyx an

Simon, I may have been the origin of that rumor; I had just downloaded the most recent security update for 10.4.11, and mistakenly referred to it in writing on this board as 10.4.12. Apple doesn't call it 10.4.12; they call it a security update for 10.4.11. I don't work for Apple, but I'm unaware

busted PowerMac G5 2.7 dual: Update

Some of you might remember. Last July my Power Mac G5 2.7 x 2 died because of the liquid spill. I wrote a polite letter to apple and they authorized it to be fixed at Apple expenses. The Apple dealer has already ordered the need parts (I guess LoBo, processors and cooling system unit). I
