Hi Peter,
Thanks, I didn't realise it had been discussed!
I don't know what would be a good markup system for citations.
However, the current situation is that people are putting their
citations into the tag with no special markup, and it seems to
work reasonably well. Maybe a simple field is al
Hey guys,
I just recently got several inquiries from users who would like to set
up a local galaxy instance here at our university. I setup a server and
got it basically running, the only modifications I have made thus far,
are opening the website outside of localhost, and having it communicat
Dear Galaxy Administrator,
I would like to attempt to assemble some Illumina RNA-seq reads using velvet on
the Galaxy/JGI server, but I am unable to create a user account. Am I allowed
to sign up and access the tools as a public user?
Thank you,
Hi,
I have set up a test version of Galaxy running on the same hostname as
our production server. I have set up the test version to include web
scaling and to run behind a proxy served on a sub-directory. The
production version has neither of these features.
When I enable the following c

Thanks Carlos, I will give it a look over and see what works best for my
situation. I think for my first demo setup, I am going to create an SGE
environment in my ESX cluster, and just test out the main galaxy server
/ SGE head, with 3-4 baby nodes.

I have a somewhat unusual problem. I have a local instance of Galaxy wherein
users are created automatically upon authentication (use_remote_user = True).
However, for a handful of users, their remote_user names have changed. After
that change, a new Galaxy user and role were created, and the
Hi,I have a very bizarre problem with Galaxy.I have to run a workflow through the API, since Galaxy cannot deal with many pair-end FASTQ files...In the past I had no issues with this and it always run as expected. But in the last few days when I select 2 FASTQ files to be run in with the API, invari
I have galaxy running on my institution's cluster computing service, which uses
PBS. It's in a balanced configuration.
Jobs going to the cluster submit without any problem at all. However, any job
that I have specified to run locally in the universe_wgsi.ini file won't
dispatch. There isn't any
Hi Dannon,
Is there a guide or format you need for submitting pull requests? I'd
like to contribute my API enhancements specifically for importing,
creating, deleting workflows. I also had a delete library api call,
but I think that was also added to the galaxy code recently.
thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard, that'd be great! The easiest thing for us is a bitbucket pull
request on a clean fork (with your changes applied) of galaxy-central.

Hi Galxy-team !
I have to use the smtp-server in Galaxy. However I don't see how to set the
port to 587 in the universe_wsgi.ini to enable sending mails from my own
server. I saw the documetation but I didn't find any response for this.
Thank-you in advance for your help.

Hi all,
I have integrated a script that runs rsem in Galaxy and the following is
the .xml that shows it in Galaxy:
exec_rrsem.pl $input1 $input2 $input3 $output1
$output2
And here is exec_rrsem.pl, the file that accepts the parameters and sets
everything up:
$genes

I'm trying to get IGV to download files served from the galaxy instance
through "display_application".
When IGV makes a request for the BAM file, it is re-routed to root like so:
wget
http://example.org/galaxy/display_application/e2132aef71b11dbf/igv_bam/local_default/cc7ba224a
Sorry, the subject should read "mistakenly routed to root". The question
still stands.
