Hi Shaun, I hate to burst your bubble but you are way off track. STFC is not, never was, an original series Trek game. STFC takes place sometime after First Contact, and before Inserection. Ever notice the Enterprise is NCC 1701-E, the Sovereign-Class version, as seen in Star Trek 8, 9, and 10?

Hi Dark, Absolutely correct. STFC is TNG era, specifically the time period between First Contact and Inserection, and Trek 2K is TOS era. However, while Trek 2000 is original series the sounds are not really authentic. Some sounds have been taken from TNG which makes it sound a bit weird.

I think that has to do with the fact that the game uses midi files. When the midi file ends it causes the game to hang up. That's one reason I stopped playing it. It just didn't feel true to the game if we had to wait for the music to start again. Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so. -

Hi Nicol, I experienced the same problem. In my own testing of midi play back a long time ago I found midi files don't always loop well in games. If you aren't careful in checking or getting the play status of a midi sometimes you get weird issues as with the accessible mario game. nicol
