Everytime choiceofgames have been mentioned previously, someone has asked if
they're available in windows.
Well good news, they are now!
I'm just learnt that as well as being available to buy from the chrome web or
apple ap stores for your favourite mobile device, you can also buy the games
Hi Dark and all,
I am not sure how their system works. I played their few free titles and the
demos of more of the paid ones, and wanted to buy them. I saw that they are
plaid in Chrom and waited to buy an androi phone and did it, but as I was
learning I didn't buy anything yet. Now that they
Hi milo.
not as far as I know. Just like lots of developers who produce games for
multiple systems, you choose which system you want the games on and need to
buy them for that system. So if you buy them from the website, you play them
online on the choiceofgames site but won't get them on
Hi all,
I downloaded the Choice of Broadsides to experiment a little with a free title
before I buy something, and am not sure if one can actually play using
talkback. I read the screen without problems, but a double click on the Next
Button when I swipe to it doesn't work, so I can't pass the
charles while I aggree with you, firstly the big companies couldn't
give a hoot about us.
Thats why we probably get away with the semi alegal sound usage we
get away with especially in free games.
Most don't know about the disabled or don't give a frog about it.
The smaller devs unless they
If you mean a link to the podcast where the creator of Dark room talks about
access in the game, you can hear it on

actually I'd recommend having a listen anyway, the story of the developers
decision to make the game is a

Hi Dark and all,
Those are some valid points. Something else I'd like to address on the
issue of accessibility sometimes the developers themselves can't add
accessibility because of the game engine or software they use doesn't
have accessibility built into it.
For instance, Michael Feir recently
Hi, I must say i love some of the choice of games and their hosted games a lot.
Others unfortunately are not so good. I personally did not like these last 2
all that much. Not all that interactive or long.

It is possible. I have played through Choice of Broadsides and Choice of
Kung Fu on my nexus 4. What's odd is that accessibility seems to change and
get better after the first few screens. There are some oddities though:
choice items are read twice if you are swiping through the options. Touch
Hi Chris,
I can't even pass the first screen... Did you use some unusual gestures? Did
you somehow find the next button on the screen with help from a sided
person? Swiping and clicking just doesn't work for me...
Best!

Hi Thomas,
The future game Grail to the Thief: An Interactive Audio Adventure by For
All To Play will use the Unity Pro game engine.

The game uses sound files to speak all the text,
so it doesn't have to interface with the
Hi Milo.
Have you checked the choice of action you want? on both the ios and website
versions, you can't hit the next button until you've put a chedck next to
what choice you would like.
I do know people have! played the games on android, so I am certain they are
accessible, but I'm afraid
Hi tom.
I would personally always either play a game first to see if it was
partially accessible, or at least go on the access reports of those I trust,
and suggest fixes according to what that play showed, rather than just
picking a random game having not tried to play it and sayign could
Well that's a slight shame Anouk, though it's odd that they especially
describe choice of the rockstar as open ended. Still as I'm not sure the
subject matter of these is as much my thing I'll probably wait to try them
until I've played through a good few others.
All the best,
Dark.

That is weerd hris.
I've played through all of broadsides on my Iphone and it seemed absolutely
fine. The only miner issue I found was that if you had Vo on continuous read
with the downward double swipe and the add pannel at the bottom changed,
then vo would stop speaking, which could get
Actually Phil, the experimental game extant which Richard and Sander
made (though sadly only in beta), used the unity web player as it's
interface, so I'm not surprised to here that it's being used to make a full
audio game like graille to the thief, it's just a shame about the text.
For those who don't know, Alter Aeon is an online, multiplayer text
based game. The game theme is fantasy based, with swords and sorcery,
dragons and trolls, gods and demons. Our Mush-Z client is made by
blind players for blind players, and it help make Alter Aeon one of

Hi, There is a fairly good review of Rock star on the net already.
I think i have played all the choice of games titles and the hosted ones, there
are some truely nice games but it can be a bit hit and miss. Luckily they are
not that expensive.

wow Anouk all of them? Im' impressed.
I do plan to play them all eventually, though thus far the only ones I've
done have been choice of broadsides, choice of the dragon and choice of the
star captain, and zombie exodous from the hosted section, though I have also
got tin star andd wizard's
