Yeah, what I also do when there are two or three ships is shoot one and
while the other two are slowing down to hunt me, loose a few torps at them
too. Then I usually try and get away as quick as possible.

It my just be my rather pants sense of spacial location and direction I
think. In shades or something along those lines it's possible to do that via
sound, - but in Lw it seems you really! need to have a good instant
grasp of basic geometry and angles to work out the best firing solutions.
