Have you reported this to supp...@blindsoftware.com I would go to www.blindsoftware.com Then to support or to contact and report this error message. When you report the error, make sure you also let them know what your operation system is if it is win 7 and if it is 32 or 64 bit as well. Please give them as much info as you can. It's been a long long time since I've played that exciting game. You also might want to try running it as adminstrator as well. [Audyssey] pipe2 stats and development on swish
Hi all, I know the main topic on here is castaways, but can someone tell me if bsc games is still developing swish? For those of you who don't remember, swish was intended to be a side scroller that is based on super mariobrothers, but in this one, you're walking around picking up coins, and avoiding enemies and obsticles. Also do any of you have a copy of castle quest or the void? I'd like to try those out, even if the void is only an alpha or beta. By the way I have some awesome stats of my latest game of blast chamber that I finished a few minutes ago, and just so you know I came in first place on the scoreboards. Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 stats and development on swish
Hi Jack, I am afraid you are behind the times. Castle Quest and the Void were both canceled a long time ago by BSC Games, and to my knowledge no betas were ever released publicly or privately. As for the Swish game who knows? My guess is Swish is either canceled or put on hold. Justin works full time now, actually over time, and I've heard his work load is pretty substantial. As a result he hasn't had much time to write games to speak of. Hi Nicol, Of course there is. 2.66 GHZ is equal to 2,660 MHZ where 2.6 GHZ is equal to 2,600 MHZ. In other words 2.66 GHZ is 60 MHZ faster than 2.6 GHZ. Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 blast chamber and sarah question
Well, whereas it might just be the system abbreviating a value, the difference between 2.6 and 2.66 would literally be something around 0.06GHz, which I suppose works out to something like 61.44KHz if you multiply 0.06 by 1024, etc., but no it wouldn't make a really noticeable difference in terms of actual performance nowadays. Also, sometimes things like this might have to do with the internal architecture since, for example, while my work laptop officially has something like 4Gb of physically installed memory/ram, the installation of windows XP, 32 bit had on it, only saw 2.5Gb memory as such. Re: [Audyssey] Pipe2 Blast Chamber speed round
hmmm looks like speedrounds are catching on fast. When I first got hunter, bc and superliam I thought wow. But because of me not able to beat things and getting to really hard levels I don't really play any of these. NOt saying I tried about 50 times when I got em, I just don't know how you guys do it all. now its speedrounds and I can't even do slow and normal pased. At 02:37 p.m. 6/09/2007, you wrote: Hi. My reason why I feel there should be enemies in levels 13 and 14, because now it happens that I unlock a toolbox on level 13 or 14 and now I get a bug spray and I would like so much to use this bug spray but now there are not spiders. Ok, you guys will say: but use the bug spray once you received it. NO, I want to use the bug spray as soon as a spider appears. That makes the use of bug spray feel more realistic. Its s bad to receive a special item in a toolbox and I can't use it! I really don't mind if I for example receive a special item in a toolbox in level5 and no enemies appear in level5 which I can kill using that special item because I can use those special items say on level6, but on levels 13 and 14 its bad not to get any enemies. So damion, I am very very unhappy because you jump down my throat regarding my pipe suggestions. I could have e-mailed you privately, but I want the rest of the gaming community to know that I have the innoscent intention of giving Justin my feedback regarding the game and what do I get? A moderator and list members that spank me on the fingers. I was never complaining, I was only giving innoscent feedback. It was said either in the manual or in the list guidelines, the purpose of the bsc gaming list is so that customers can give feedback to improve games. Now I remember, it was definitely said in the guidelines, I can still remember the wording more or less. We prefer that posts should only be on the topic of bsc games because we want feedback from our customers to improve our games. Now that I'm doing it, I get spanked on the fingers for a childish nonsense complaint.I've said it many times damion and I will say it again. I am a happy customer, I never feel that I wasted my money on pipe2, it's an action packed game, and the fact that the special items is randomized, that makes it interesting and that determines my score and that can cause me to get a high score to end up on number1 of the scoreboards. I'm not trying to say that Justin should leave his work that he is busy with now and update pipe with the changes I would like to see in it. I understand if Justin's schedule is full, the only point I want to bring across is, Justin must be assured that I'm valuing his game and I'm giving him feedback. But how sure can I be that damion doesn't privately discourage Justin to give me acknowledgement? At least if I take damion on on this list he can't take list action against me. I don't know how else I can tell people I'm unhappy with the attitude I'm getting. I know people said that they do get enemies in levels 13 and 14, but I am sorry, I can't believe this. Because as a pipe gamer you do not always pay attention to what level you are on. It happened to me in the past that I think I am on level13 because no spiders show up, then I hear a spider at almost the end of the level, and I kill it and I thought: wow! I get spiders on level13, that's amazing! But then I check with the shift key and I see: oh no its level 12, so people might think that they are on level13 but then they are in fact still on level12. People, if only I can hear a recording of somebody playing pipe and in that recording the person gets enemies
Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 issue. extremely upset with damion sadelor!!
Nicol, Not trying to be rude or anything, but you've told us about your pipe 2 issues in the past, and noone else is experiencing this problem. I get enemies in those levels most of the time. it's just random. I also seriously doubt pipe 2 will have any patches in the future, even if there's a problem. - Are you into Anime, manga, and video game music? I never said your suggestions were stupid or childish. I just said that Justin probably wasn't going to update. I also gave you my honest opinion, which was that emails directed at individuals should be emailed to the individual in question, rather than emailing a whole mailing list only to say that a specific part of an email is for Justin only. If I sounded rude it was by no means intentional. [Audyssey] pipe2 debate
HI all I'm overexcited! I posted my money for pipe2 today. From south africa It will take approximately 2 weeks for the money order to reach the USA and from there it takes 8 days for WSREG to process the order. It feels like another eternity before I can have my unlock code! Please!please! don't view this in a bad light. I don't want to criticize any game developer at all. I just want to see if I am able to start a healthy, harmless debate successfully. There's nothing wrong with some healthy debate, is there? I mean, we are all grown ups, we can engage in debate sometimes as long as its not flaming. I'm making the following statement: Pipe2 is the game with the biggest replay value. There isn't a game with a greater replay value than pipe2! Well, I'm new to the accesible gaming industry. Pipe2 is my first game I'm purchasing. I have only played demos of the other retail games and I have played a lot of freebees. But what I have experienced in the demos of games and what I heard from other list members' experience, I can certainly forman opinion and make my statement. My reason behind my statement: pipe2 is the only game which offers random items. If you beat pipe and you play it again you might find other items in the trash cans, which might give you bigger bonus points or tools to aid you better. It might also contain items which is not so many or big than before, making the game more challenging. So you play pipe2, you win because you got a lot of welding kids and you got a lot of bug sprays and wriches, but this time you are only getting bonus points or time bonuses so this time it is more challenging to play the game because you have to crunch more spiders with your foot. You manage to win the game a second time. You play for a third time and yet you get more timebonuses, chips, cooldrink and less aid items so its more challenging. Now you manage to win the game a third time. The fourth time you play it you again get lots of aid items and so its nice for a change to get a lot of help after 2 challenging games. The same with all the bonus points like chips and cooldrink you pick up. the more bonus points you pick up, the more bragging rights you have and the easier you can reach the scoreboards. The less bonus points you pick up, the challenging the game also is because you have to play with more skill to gain bragging rights and reach the score boards. so there's no way you can get the same replay value from other games. I'm not saying other accessible games have no replay value. Me personally if I buy sod I will certainly after a few games get tired of fighting monsters. All right, aliens in the outback also have random items but these vaporise if you don't pick them up.so you have to be skilled enough to pick up a random itemin outback, but the trash cans in pipe2 make pipe2 the game with the biggest replay value because the items in the trash cans will not disappear. ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] pipe2 debate
I don't know if I can agree with that. It's no knock against bsc, but pipe 2 doesn't have all that much replay value. I own the game, and I played it a few times, beat it, got on the boards, and there wasn't much else to do. To me, the game with the best replay value right now is sryth. Content is being added on a regular basis, and it keeps people coming back. There are no other games out there that are like this. I know sryth isn't necisarily an accessible game, but. We all seem to play it so I'm counting it. Of all the accessible games I own, there aren't any that I really want to play again after I beat. I'm hoping that the release of judgment day gives the replay value of other stuff a run for it's money. In judgment day there will be a lot of unlockable minigames and other content which you will have to play the game multiple times to earn. Pipe 2 or as a matter of fact any other game has this as far as I can tell. Pipe 2 is a really good game but even if you get your unlock code you will not be able to post at the moment as that is affected as well. - Original Message - From: Nicol [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Thursday, October 12, 2006 8:12 AM Subject: [Audyssey] pipe2 registration This message is for thom randle of BSC games. [Audyssey] Pipe2 Blast Chamber speed contest
Hi. We at the BSC Gaming mailing list are having a contest which I'd like to share with you. This contest is to see who can beat the game in the shortest amount of time. This means you need to skip the bonus level by getting zero points, skip the trash cans in the side scrollers, skip killing rats, and do what ever else you can think of to end the game as quickly as possible. Remember that pausing the game keeps the clock ticking even though the game time and the bomb is paused. Feel free to either subscribe to the gametalk mailing list from the BSC web page http://www.bscgames.com and email your game stats there or just email them here and I'll keep an eye/ear out for them. This is strictly an informal contest. There are no prizes other than your own good feelings. All the best. -- By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail. Raul A. Gallegos ...
