Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem.
Hi Phil, Unfortunately, setting up a microphone under Windows Vista and Windows 7 is quite a bit different. If anyone needs a tootorial for either let me know and I'll try and write one up. Phil Vlasak wrote: Hi, In Windows XP, in the alt pull down menu there is a combo box that is set on playback. I switched it to record then exited to get to my recording volume controls. Then I selected what you hear, that turned off the microphone recording choice. Then I went back in the combo box and switched to playback volumes. I then arrowed down to microphone volume in the playback menu and un-muted it and adjusted the volume. This is how I recorded my microphone at the same time as a game. I'd appreciate one for Vista THomas. I'm actually hoping to do a review of my own for MOTA and I want to make sure the sound of the game and my voice don't override one another. [Audyssey] game recording problem.
hey. i'm having a problem with my mic wen recording games with my voice in the background. the volume of my microphone is low, but i can't change it, even going to sndvol32, or sndvol32 /r on the cmd it doesn't appear the option to increase / decrease the volume of the microphone, only the recording balance and volume, and the option to enable / disable the audio of the recording, microphone, etc. even pressing out, and going in to properties the 'volume of microphone' box is checked, but still noting. the advansed controls are 'unavailable.' is there anything else i can do to increase it? sorry for asking this question here, i know that it's not the perfect place to ask, but wen it gets fixed, i'll be recording samples of games and will be posting then here. thanks. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. I've had problems with that also. I'd really like to be able to record using a regular microphone and just record the game in stereo but for some reason the game's volume overrides the voice regardless of what I try. Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem.
Unfortunately your best bet then is probably just to get a digital recorder if you want to record games in stereo, but those can be pretty spendy, as can really decent microphones. Or you could record what you were saying as a separate sound file and mix it with the game recording, but your timing would have to be absolutely perfect if you wanted what you were saying to coincide with the game. Not sure what the problem could be... if you go into playback controll and turn the mic volume up and unmute it, it'll come through your stereo mix... then just turn your line in volume down a bit. Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem.
Hi, In Windows XP, in the alt pull down menu there is a combo box that is set on playback. Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem.
Hi, If someone has Recording problems in ANNY way, they just can send me a PM or something like that. In vista, if you have Realtek, you go to the Control Panel/Sound there you go to playback, and choose your output source, like headphones, speakers or whatever soundcard you might use. You go to properties. From there you control tab once, and repeatetly hit tab, until you get to Microphone up down slider, and set that to a hundert. Then you klick on OK, and ten you go to the recording tab, which is one more CTRL Tab from the Playback tab ín the sounds dialog. You select the first item, and press the aplications key. You go down to something like LIST UNUSED DEVICES or something like that. Give it An Enter, and then you should see something like Stereomix or something. Select that, hit the applications key, and go o USE Device or something, sorry I am running german windows, so I am not sure what that is in the english one. So you go to something like use device or Select Device, whatever. You klick it, and then on the stereomix item, you press tab Until you get something like: Make Default, button. You klick it. Or Enter or spacebar it. Whatever. You go to OK, and now you go into your Recording Program, and press the recordbutton, and try it out! I wonder where that is in Windows Vista. Homer: Hey, uh, could you go across the street and get me a slice of pizza? Vender: No pizza. Not sure what the problem could be... if you go into playback controll and turn the mic volume up and unmute it, it'll come through your stereo mix... then just turn your line in volume down a bit. Should work. - Original Message - From: Matheus an...@bol.com.br To: gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Friday, October 16, 2009 6:14 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem. well, i can record then, i just can't talk wille recording. well, the only option left is to record only the games, without talking, and put what you wanted to say in a txt file or something like that, explaining what you're doing, what are the menus, etc. although it's not the best option, it's the only thing i can do right now, since i've spent more than 600 last week on a new computer. -Mensagem original- De: Bryan Peterson bpeterson2...@cableone.net Para: Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Data: Sexta, 16 de Outubro de 2009 19:09 Assunto: Re: [Audyssey] game recording problem. Unfortunately your best bet then is probably just to get a digital recorder if you want to record games in stereo, but those can be pretty spendy, as can really decent microphones. I've had problems with that also. I'd really like to be able to record using a regular microphone and just record the game in stereo but for some reason the game's volume overrides the voice regardless of what I try. And I can't really afford a mixing board to do it that way. Homer: Hey, uh, could you go across the street and get me a slice of pizza? Vender: No pizza.
