Hi Ishan, Unfortunately, I have no idea when I will be posting an updated beta for Tomb Hunter. I've got a lot of things going on in my personal life which really makes it difficult for me to find time to work on and develop the game at this point. For one thing I have had a number of medical issues that I am addressing that has been effecting my ability to work on the game on any sort of schedule. On top of that my wife and I are going through a divorce which is causing me emotional stress as well as taking up valuable time showing up for court appearances, visiting with my son on the weekends, and a variety of other things which makes writing games etc very difficult at this point in my life. So it is for that reason the site hasn't been updated in a while, and game development has drastically slowed. I had planned to find and put up one of the old betas, but I've been so consumed with other things to do I haven't gotten to it. Understand I just don't have the time to really deal with stuff like this right now. I suppose I should take a little time to write a news letter which explaisn things a little better. Not just the reason development has slowed, but letting people know what is happening regarding the games, where we are going, and the work that has been done since the prior beta. Cheers! Hi Shaun, Why would I do that? I've already got a dedicated server to host my own apps and website. As it happens Apache is now installed, updated, and properly configured and the blog is back up. Hi, Pretty easy. If you go to blog.usagamesinteractive.com you'll get a Wordpress error that the version of php on the server is out of date and Wordpress can't run. Hi Tom. Actually I noticed a horrible download lag myself when downloading your preview the other day. I believe it slowed down to as litle as 20 kb per seck, where as on my connection here other sights like darker projects downloading audio I'd be getting 250 kb per seck. It was okay, sinse I just went off and had a bath while waiting for the download, but it was a litle odd and if others are experiencing the issue it might be a problem. Beware the grue! I should also add that if you are over your data cap then you may have issues. I have got over that by going unlimited ofcause that costs me a little more but for what we use it here its worth. Hi Hayri, I usually get decent upload/download speeds from the server. Can you explain how slow are we talking slow on your end? It could be your internet connection rather than the server, or the server was experiencing some heavy bandwidth at the time. USA Games isn't the only company to use that server so it could just be some heavy network congestion at the time you tried it. Hi Hayden, Well, I've seriously thought about it. I probably won't convert right away, since it is quite a bit of work, but there is some advantage to switching to SlimDX. For one big reason SlimDX supports XAudio2 which has replaced DirectSound in Windows 7 as the official sound API for Windows. Then, .NET Framework 4.0 is now out, is the version that ships with Windows 7, and of course is just an updated version of .NET. However, since I'm on the fast track for Christmas I doubt I will make these changes before then. Out of curiosity, are you planning to start using Slim DX and .Net Framework 4.0? I do see what you mean though, However the folders have setup files not on the products or free games pages, such as PB-games.
