I seem to recall them saying a while back that they would no longer be
offering replacement keys though under any circumstances.

Hi Sky,
You need to check their FAQ section for answers.
These may address your question on an older game on CD:
Q: I have a very old version of one of your games, which used to require
the CD be inserted in my CD-ROM drive to play, but newer versions require
a key. What should I do to upgrade?
A: Contact our sales department to request a key for the title in
question. Draconis reserves the right to grant or deny such requests,
based on information in our records where it pertains to your original
order, including but not limited to the ddate of purchase.

Q: I lost my key, can you send me a replacement?
A: We will replace lost keys once for a title you have a legal license
for, at approximately 25% of the current retail price of the game. Contact
our sales department to request a replacement key.
Q: I have placed an order for one of your software products, how long
until I will receive my registration information to unlock the game via
E-mail?
A: As a general rule, you will receive your registration information on
the next business day. We do strive to send out this information as
quickly as possible. Turn-around time may be shorter or longer depending
on the volume of orders.

Re: [Audyssey] Alien Outback problem

2011-07-03 Thread dark

Hello sky.

firstly, I'd recommend downloading the newest version from the draconis
site.

I know they rejiggered several of their games such as monkey business to run
on post xp machines, but I'm not sure if they did alien outback or not.

Eitherway, it's best to check sinse it's certain that the version you have
on that old cd will not be optimized for modern windows.

then, quite often when someone gets runtime errors in windows 7 trying to
run older games, it's just because of lack of components.

Try installing jim's winkit file, which often fixes these sorts of problems.

Btw shane, I believe Sky meant 3 gb of ram, not 3 gb of harddrive space,
sinse you can buy 3 gb memory sticks, a 3 gb harddrive would be pretty
pointless, especially with windows 7 that I believe takes up a good 1 gb of
space all by itself anyway.

Beware the grue!

Hi Charles,
Yeah, Aliens in the Outback has certainly got a fair amount of
difficulty built in from the get go. One of the cooller aspects I have
always liked is the alien landers. That was totally something new I have
never seen in a Space Invader knock off before. Then, the music is
really cool as well.

I find alien outback really difficult.
I'm playing it on easy difficulty but it feels like I'm playing on
insane

difficulty .
The ships descends too fast and I have never been able to complete a level
without any landed ships.
I'm only getting as far as level3, then the landed ships drains my energy
quickly.
Has anybody been able to get to the bonus levels?

HI all
You won't believe it! I have so many friends who buys me birthday
presents. I also got alien outback for my birthday.

I'm still new to the game and it will cost a lot of practice.
I have a suggestion for the music and ambients in the game.

there is a song I like very much: london by night.
so as music in game play I would like london by night played in the c
chord by a saw.

the sounds of the ships must also sound like a saw.
a saw is the thing used for wood but some people also play it as a musical
instrument.

THE SOUND OF THE SAW LETS ME THINK OF THE MOON.
