Re: [Audyssey] GTC sector 5
Hi Aaron, You don't have to wait for the friendly tanks to appear to cross one of the bridges to the road. That is why I said head straight for one of the bridges when entering sector 5, cross it, go up the road a ways drop a few mines, and come back accross the bridge to take care of the guys in the woods. Then, wait for your friendly tanks to show up and lead them to safety. HTH Valiant8086 wrote: > hey. You mean the bridge I usually cross after the friendly tanks appear? Re: [Audyssey] GTC sector 5
Hi, It takes a while for the enemy tanks to show up. That's why I say go up the road a ways drop your mines, and then double back to the forest. That way if they try to hit you from behind there will be a lot less of them to deal with. As for the attacks there is a mobile artillery out in the marsh that fires on your bridges. You can't kill the artillery, but you can beat the attacks off with your intercepters. important wrote: I don't think I give up early, I have crossed the bridge, traveled up the northern road and returned back across the bridge, killed 20 enemies and haven't seen the 12 enemy tanks come across either bridge yet! after waiting and killing everything I can some mysterie bomb killed 2 of my tanks out of no where, I'm down to 1 tank with no sign of any enemy --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Hi, Yeah, endless ammo helps, but if you play without cheats, like I usually do, it becomes a completely different tactical situation. You really have to pick and choose your targets carefully. Hi Bryan, Surround sound certainly helps, but isn't necessary for GTC. I play the game a lot of the time on my laptop, it doesn't have full surround sound, and I can do ok. Still I hate it when enemies ambush me from behind. They like to do that in the town in sector 2. Bryan Peterson wrote: It's been about five years for me as I said. Re: [Audyssey] GTC sector 5
That was always more my dad's type of game, not that he ever tried it. He tried Grizzly Gulch once and saw a little bit of Shades of Doom and decided he couldn't get used to no graphics. Pity, really, since he really liked submarine games. I remember he had this game while I was growing up called Red Storm Rising that seems very similar to LW. The main difference was that you could actually travel to places like Scotland, Ireland and places like that whereas LW just seems to have general locations. Then again maybe I will try it again. I have actually played it but it never really held my interest for long. It's kinda odd if you think about it since I've beaten Final Conflict on several difficulty levels and even took out the Borg Cube on the bonus level. Now there was a long battle. - Original Message - From: "Thomas Ward" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Sunday, March 22, 2009 10:48 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] GTC sector 5 Hi Bryan, Oh, come on. That way with all of the mines on the road most of all of the enemy tanks that come down that road will hit the mines and will wind up heavily damaged or destroyed. After that I cross back over the bridge, take out the troops in the woods, and wait for my buddies to show up. Once I get some of them over the bridge I'll form up with them and put up a smoke screen and hall butt down the road to sector 6 with my tankes in formation. If there are any enemy tanks left alive on the road I hammer them with anything I've got to hit them with. They are right out in the open so nuking them with a long range missile or something isn't a problem.
