Okay, that may also be possible with monobasic which makes .cil files
and monobasic is available on Linux too.

TDV is not written in basic.
As I recall, its mostly cSmall, with some .net included.
To compile you'll need visual studio (or at least that's what the gitHub page
states), and .net installed.

Interesting, basic interpreters exist under command line linux that can
run gwbasic code. If I were to do anything with this, I'd download the
source and play with a copy of the source code.

Hi I now have the registered version on TDV, but am still struggling to take
off properly. I hold down my up arrow but when I get to the right speed and
hold down page down I get alarms going off and someone shouting I'm too
loose. I hold dow up arrow again to get more speed then I stall. Does
anyone have an audio tutorial available? I'm also finding if I pause the
game and try to go into the game documentation to look something up the game
blocks me from leaving the game window. Maybe some sort of in-built help
menu would be handy, like in GMA games with just the basic hot keys you need
to get going. The same goes for learn game sounds. There's also someone
shouting something at me, but I can't understand it, it sounds like the word
Speak or maybe Speed? Maybe someone could help me correct my mistakes,
so I can get more than 0 points Smile Well I got off the ground, doesn't
that count for something, maybe even half a point? :( thanks from Lori

Hi I just downloaded this one and thought I'd give it a try, but I'm now
totally swamped with information, mainly worrying about my aircraft's angle
of attack, as well as remembering to listen out for the alarm sounds. Also
I'm not sure if the health warning included in the documentation includes
Epelepsy attacks or not, but as long as there is a pause function I think
I'll be good to go. How do others find Three-D Velocity, it sounds like
you've got to have ears everywhere, a brain the size of a planet to hold all
the instructions for flying your craft and oh yes a head for hights! While
I do want to learn everything, I would like to know if it's easy to remember
things like flying, so you can focus your mind on the game story. Thanks

Hello,
I downloaded three-d velocity's March 2010 package yesterday and
installed it. I'm embarassed to say i initially crashed a lot, smile
people around here tend to call me the suicide captain, but i'm
starting to get the hang of it.
Is there any information that i missed on an official release?
Thanks.

until I can fly into the landing gang again. I begin to dive very slowly
because I want to see if I can get down to the 100 feet before that you can

below 1000 feet? I make a small sound clip.

Hi,
Yes, you need to press g once you drop below 1000 feet to deploy your gear.
And remember, you don't need to be exactly on target with the landing
beacon--as long as you are within five miles of it when you touch the tarmac
you will be fine. It is placed exactly in the middle of the runway.

Hi,
You have to be much closer than six miles out to get a lock with guns, so
what I advise doing is hitting your speed brake a couple times and head
toward the enemy. That should help you get a lock before you shoot past the
opponent craft.
HTH and have fun flying.

Hi List.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find
an answer in the archives. What I want to know is the way one
uses the guns in Three-D Velocity's Death Match Mode. The
documentation explains how to target with missiles, but not guns,
aand I'm interested to know how it's done.

Re: [Audyssey] Three-D Velocity Evaluation Released

2008-05-07 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Munawar,
I was able to get your game running by first installing dot net 3 then
Direct x 9.
I got the main menu working and first hit the start game which did not work.
I then realized that you need to pick your mode first before playing the
game.
It would be better if you added the mode choice after hitting the play game
choice.
Or if no mode is chosen, tell the player that you need to choose your mode
before playing the game.
I did not get too far on my first try but appreciate the sounds and
interface as challenging but not impossible to deal with.
I would like to have a little louder jet engine sound or possibly have a ear
plug toggle to turn the jets sound down if necessary.
I added this game to my games list web page.

thanks,
Phil

Hi,
You need to select a moade before you select start game.

Hi Munawar,
I just downloaded TDV_Setup from your web site, but strangely it does not
have the exe extension I usually get.
I did add the .exe to the file and the setup then worked.

 Hello Gamers,
We have just released an evaluation version of Three-D Velocity, a
 realtime
fighter jet simulation. You can visit bpcprograms.com to download a copy.
 I
have provided a description from the website for you below:
Three-D Velocity is a real-time fighter jet simulation. Your craft is
designed to get you out of the tightest of situations, provided that you
 do
 not think
too long and are willing to try daring maneuvers. Your jet is able to go
 at
a top airspeed of mach 2, and is equipped with afterburners to give you a
 temporary
 boost in acceleration.

This demonstration will allow you to play ten minutes of both Death Match
and Racing Mode. All other functionality has been disabled; however,
 playing
these modes will allow you to get a feel for the game and enjoy the fast
action of aerial dog fighting, complete with cut-edge sounds. This
 demonstration
 is not unlockable.
