Re: [Audyssey] westfront pc
Greetings Ron. Yes, I've used the decompiler with the wfpc.hlp file. You have to use it in a command shell, like thus: 1. Open the run dialog (Windows + R). 2. Type in cmd, then hit Enter or click the OK button. 3. In the resulting command prompt, type the following command: cd PathToTheDecompiler *To make entering the path to the decompiler easier, navigate into the folder where the "HELPDECO.EXE" file resides, then copy the path from the address bar. Next, return to the command prompt and type cd, followed by a space. Right click the command prompt's title bar and click the Paste menu command under the Edit submenu. Windows will paste the path in where your cursor resides. Hit enter. 4. Now type: helpdeco c:\wfpc\wfpc.hlp *This is assuming you installed WFPC to the default location. If not, correct the path as needed. You should now have a wfpc.rtf file, plus several other bitmap (bmp) files. You can safely delete the bitmap items. For your convenience, I've uploaded a wfpc.txt file to Sendspace. It is the wfpc.rtf file from the above steps, down converted to a text file. The URL is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/bvsdow Hope this helps, Kai - Original Message - From: "Ron Schamerhorn" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Friday, May 01, 2009 6:34 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] westfront pc Hi Kai I tried it and for whatever reason it just didn't work for me. hmmm the only ones I found playable are wfpc and womiga which is a experimental beta which is a spin off from the game. the restare inaccessible graphic games. at the least the ones for windows were there are a load of graphical and text games for dos, and a couple that really need dos to play the interpritors. In the version up on the developer's site, its got 50 quests, and over 1800 rooms, with plenty of NPC's populating it. I'll have to give it another go one of these days perhaps, but I couldn't find much to do really. I'm not sure what version you guys have, but the one I have is called the trials of gildur, and has westfrom 1 through 5 in it, all combined fairly neatly into one world. That is to say they can still be played as sepperate games, but each world also has a link in certain zones to at least one of the other worlds. Its really tough to find and explore everything with no hints or obvious objectives, being pretty much dropped straight into the middle of the game with almost nothing. It was a pretty fun game though, if I could find a walkthrough or some such thing to the quests and the like I'd probably be able to get into it because I'd have more direction to go in rather than wandering the giant continent trying not to get lost. For those of you that play, provided you're playing the trials of gildur, would you mind letting me know if you come up with anything? Re: [Audyssey] westfront pc
hey shaun, in the game, you don't have a unic objective that you must follow. first, you have to find a shop, where you can buy a good weapon, equip your self with some armor, and then start for npcs to kill, one thing that i don't know is that i don't think that you can consider your enemy. before attacking. well maybe there's a spell in some place where you can do that, i don't know. also, you'll find after exploring a bit many skills / spells to buy, one more thing, if you arrive at the shop, and it says it's closed, don't worry, type time that the weather and time change constantly. -Mensagem original- De: shaun everiss Para: gamers@audyssey.org Data: Domingo, 26 de Abril de 2009 21:40 Assunto: [Audyssey] westfront pc hi. found another place to get this game I searched for download westfront pc. the version on cnet is actually easier to get than the other link given. on that note what the heck do I do once installed.
