Regarding bin/non-bin: Software has bugs. Some software tends to have
more issues. Just because we have the source code and compile software
on user's system doesn't make the application itself more secure than
l reasons like "No one audited the Linux
version yet". But in security you don't issue warnings if you aren't
sure. Because if you make false statements people will no longer trust
you. But trust is everything.

Hehe, maybe because of missing tooling. Common tools like tatt don't

really need to discuss this. Simply
because everyone interested in "-Werror" *can* set that flag via CFLAGS,
even just per package, whereas the majority, not interested in this,
cannot do the same to filter "-Werror". Nobody advocating for "-Werror"
replied to that fa
n architecture. Not a general failure. See x86

undesired problems in most cases. Given that we have another rule that
any package must respect user's CFLAGS any user or dev who care can add
"-Werror" back to his/her CFLAGS... but don't force every user of Gentoo
to deal with that.

The code above in an early phase like pkg_setup would prevent such a bad

sys-cluster/ganglia-web
If you are using sys-cluster/ganglia-web or want to keep the package in
official Gentoo repository, it is now _your_
nt, however I prefer a label
item like current "Unstable arches" which makes it easy for me to spot
the end of the typical list.
In mgorny's variant I don't understand the differentiation between "exp"
and "~arch". I won't split them to be honest.
Ca
add
it with a mask.
Breaking ~arch because a dev was unable to test for some reason is IMHO
unacceptable -- even for ~arch. That's the whole reason why
keywords/p.mask exist ;-)
