Having just updated my Ubuntu box to Gip 2.98, I mourned the loss of
the --aactomp3 option. But a quick flick through the docs offered the
ffmpeg conversion. That's working well and I now have an mp3 file with
the correct tags. It also has an embedded thumbnail which I used to
need to specify. So I
This morning I wanted the subtitles only for Thailand: Earth's Tropical
Paradise and so set up a pvr-queue request. This is it :-
get_iplayer --pvr-queue --pid=b087vgd6 --subtitles-only --force
It seems that the --force instruction overrides the --subtitles-only
command. Is there any way this can

Hopefully somebody can help me with this problem.
I'm trying to avoid downloading any Storyville programmes older than
this year. I thought that if I included a search for of
2020 that would do it but looking at the subparams page on github I see
that field is not included in the listformat.

I wanted to only download series 18 or later of Mock the Week so cobbled
together this :-
get_iplayer "Mock the Week: Series \b(1[8-9]|2[0-9])\b"
It will run manually but not when run as part of the pvr. Substituting
single quotes for doubles made it work. Any ideas why?

Using the code shown here -
https://github.com/get-iplayer/get_iplayer/wiki/usercmd#metadata - I'm
trying to create a .nfo file but although the xml file is created, I'm
not getting a .nfo file.
If I then run the command manually, I do get one. So I'm assuming that

I've set the GiP preferences to always download subtitles. They all work
quite well apart from Mock the Week. The subtitles are consistently 12
seconds out.
I can't think how GiP could get this wrong so is it the Beeb, GiP or
Kodi on a Pi which is what I use to playback the mp4 file?

If I save a pvr-queue request, I can add a comment but what I would like
to do is add a name to the search in the same way I do when I do a pvr-
add.
Is this possible or would it fall under the 'feature request' category?

I have a PVR search saved for 'Formula E' but it's not picking it up and

I sort them into the relevant year using /
