the assumption, that the order of the directories in the

Preferences / Folders, determines which script or plug-in
is used. The
2 arrows at the top of the panel change the order.

As far to avoid clone a simple example, supposed you found somewhere a script
called Trash Effect.scm author name Jonh Cubo
You may well have already same script somehow renamed and included in the FX
foundry pack
