I use it; it works fine with the USB connection, but not at all with
the FireWire connection. I typically use scanimage, but xsane,
xscanimage, and vuescan all work fine with it.

I use Gimp 1.2.3 with Mandrake 8.2.
The shortcup (Alt and click left mouse button) dont work for editing
mask of a layer.
The shortcut : Ctrl and click left mouse button work well.

how can i write any other text than "gimp" using the texttool in gimp
1.3.8? or is the text tool incomplete?
i can successfully select a font and when i click on the canvas it says
"gimp" and i don't know how to change it.
